  • Are the prices quoted per person?

No, the prices quoted are for the villa per week, regardless of how many people are staying. Generally this works out as much less than a hotel & with the added benefits of a private pool & plenty of space for everyone!

  • What do I need to bring along with me?

We have tried to include everything that you will need – there are ample linens including towels, pool towels & bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glassware & cookware. Every bathroom has a hairdryer.

  • Is the villa “child friendly”?

Absolutely! With young families of our own we know that it is important that children feel welcome. We have included many extras to ensure they are catered for e.g., travel cots, strollers, high chairs, baby gates, intercoms, children’s books, and toys.

  • How far away are the nearest shops?

Berry Town Center is right next door to Highlands Reserve, about 3 minutes drive away! The center includes a large Publix supermarket, a liquor store, Applebees, Chinese and Italian take aways, hairdressers, dollar store, salons and much more. Cagans Crossing is also only about 10 minutes away with further shops and restaurants.

  • Could we bring our dog?

At times we have had service dogs to stay and we would accept any house-trained & well behaved pet. As future guests could suffer from pet allergies, we would reserve the right to charge for any additional cleaning required after your visit. Pets would be welcomed on the condition that this extra charge (and also any charge for any damage incurred), could be deducted from the security deposit.

  • Is it OK to use the telephones in the villa?

Many holiday homes have all but the local calls “blocked” so if you want to ring elsewhere in the USA or make an international call then a telephone card or credit card is needed. We have found this so expensive and inconvenient that we have provided the latest telephone package provided by Brighthouse. Therefore all calls within the USA and most calls to other countries (EXCEPTING CALLS TO MOBILE OR CELL PHONES) are free of charge.

  •  When can I expect my security deposit to be returned?

The only time that we would make a deduction from the deposit is for large phone usage, or if any damage was notified by yourselves or our management company. Your deposit will be returned as soon as we have received a report from our management company & should not be longer than 28 days from the end of your stay.

  • My husband is a golfer but the rest of our family are not. Is Highlands Reserve still suitable?

Only a couple of our large extended family are golfers, but we chose Highlands Reserve because it appeals to all ages, golfers & non-golfers. The views over the course give a real sense of privacy & tranquility but its only 15 minutes drive away from the heart of Orlando’s favourite attractions. When the golfers are plying the rest of the party can always play tennis, meet friends at the communal pool, or the younger guests can play on the adventure playground. Or relax by the pool & wave at the golfers as they pass by!

  • Who do I contact if I have a problem when I am on vacation?

Our management company are just around the corner and will be happy to deal with any problems you may encounter, all their details are provided in the villa handbook.

  • When will I need the pool heated?

This is really a matter of personal preference! We recommend that you order pool heating from October through to May but even in the height of summer, younger ones may feel the water is chilly in comparison to the heat of the air. When the pool is heated it is essential to use the pool cover to keep the heat in over night.

  • Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes of course! It is password protected – details are in the villa handbook.

  • Can you recommend places to go in Florida?

Our villa has a comprehensive book with lots of brochures, but to make the most of your time in Florida, it is definitely worth getting organised before you go.
